RIDE & STABLE MANAGEMENT SESSIONS

Bank Farm Riding School provides excellent opportunities for beginners and experienced riders in Stockport and the surrounding areas.

We have more than 6 Stable Management Levels

These Sessions are for Children from 6 years+ including adults, for all abilities.  

Our Saddle Club Session is 1 & 1/2 Hours

   (1/2hr Stable Management & 1hr Ride)

BRONZE BADGE  

Covered in the Yellow & Blue Syllabus’s 

  • Name basic points of the Horse 
  • Assist a Rider Mounting  
  • Give a Leg Up  
  • Fit a Hat to a Rider

SILVER BADGE 

Covered in the Green & Orange Syllabus’s 

  • Horse & Rider 1st Aid Kit  
  • Field Safety (shelter, fencing, poisonous plants, maintenance) 
  • Treatment of minor Cuts & Abrasions  
  • Correct handling of ponies’ legs  
  • Correct grooming of ponies’ feet & legs 
  • Tack up & Un-tack Unaided & put away correctly  
  • Basic feeding  
  • clean & assemble tack  
  • catch a pony & turn it away in the field  
  • know that water must always be available  
  • know the structure of the horse’s foot  
  • know the names of the farrier’s tools  
  • identify signs of ill health  
  • understand the importance of roughage  
  • requirements to plaiting a horse  
  • plaiting a horse 
  • different mouth pieces & their actions  
  • arena safety – rules of the arena  
  • yard jobs (& safety)

                          Once you have completed the Silver Section you will receive a Silver Badge on Ecpro 

                              GOLD BADGE

                              Covered in the Purple & Red Syllabus’s

                               Upon completing each syllabus, you will receive a certificate once you receive your certificate and then once you have completed each Badge you will receive the badge on Ecpro.

                               

                               This means: if there are no badges displayed, you are at level 1+2, working towards Bronze.  

                               If a Bronze badge is displayed, you have completed level 1+2 and now working towards Silver (level 3+4) and so on.

                              *paper
                              *folder
                              *pens
                              *riding hat for when around and handling horses (you can hire one)
                              *gloves for when handling horses
                              *Access to a printer to print off SHEETS required which can be found on our google drive please follow the link https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1gyFxnlXmtlMmrK_mIGG-8HuX6gHAEPFC?usp=sharing  (any sheets that are not very clear please still print as they will be doing theory Aswell and will be writing the information on the sheets that they may need for that particular unit)

                              1. Check dates we have available for EVERY FRIDAY 

                              DATES:- FRIDAYS 

                              1. These can be Purchased on individual days or in a Calendar month bundle  

                              Click on MAKE A BOOKING go to DATE and select ACTIVITIES

                              3. Select either WHOLE ACTIVITY COURSE or SELECTED DATES then you can select as many dates as you want 1, 2 etc

                              4. Select Rider

                              5. Select Hat Hire if you need to Hire a hat, Hats are to be worn whilst on Saddle Club Courses

                              6. ADD to BASKET then CHECKOUT and PAY  

                              NO SHORTS, SKIRTS, DRESSES, TRAINERS, FLIP FLOPS, DOLLY SHOES

                               

                              NON-REFUNDABLE/NON-TRANSFERABLE 

                              This is the best riding school because A – it’s not dear, B – everybody that works there is so kind and I LOVE riding their horses (especially Cassie). All of the horses are well fed, bedded and looked after.
