We are offering School Holidays at the farm where children get dropped off while parents are either working, or even just want sometime to themselves, they come to the yard to look after the ponies meet new horsey friends along the way.
PLEASE REMEMBER IT IS A WORKING FARM NOT A CLASSROOM AT A SCHOOL
They will have a go at different aspects of caring for horses.
Activities will GENERALLY include (*not subject to):
* Picking Piles Up
* Emptying Wheel Barrows
* Cleaning Water Bowls
* Feeding
* Filling Haynets
* Cleaning Buckets
* Grooming
* Cleaning Tack
* Having a go at tacking up and un-tacking
* Tidying The Yards
* General Yard Duties
* Ride
* Field Maintenance
You will need
- Plenty to Drink,
- Packed Lunch
- Coat
- Extra Clothing (in cold weather),
- Sun Cream,
- Cap (in hot weather),
- Riding Hat this needs to be always worn. if you don’t have one don’t worry, we have plenty
- Pad, Pens, Pencils, Colouring Pencils/Pens if you have any
